2014 Edgar Nominees Announced

The Mystery Writers of America awards will be made in May 2014 at their annual meeting.

In the meantime we can amuse ourselves with the nominees worthy of their consideration. The whole list can be found HERE or visit the Edgars site for more information.

Best First Novel - Rage Against the Dying by Becky Masterman (Minotaur Books)

Best First Novel - Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight (HarperCollins Publishers)

Grand Master - Carolyn Hart (who writes delightfully intelligent cozyies)

2013 Edgar Awards Nominees

Mystery Writers of America has announced its Nominees for the 2013 Edgar Allan Poe Awards, honoring the best in mystery fiction, non-fiction and television, published or produced in 2012. The Edgar® Awards will be presented to the winners on May 2, 2013 in New York City.

Check out the Edgar Nominees if you are so inclined. The winners of the 2012 Edgars, given by the Mystery Writers of America, will be announced on April 26th. Individual categories include: Novel, First Novel, Paperback Original, Fact Crime, Juvenile, Young Adult, Play, TV Story, and more. Grand Master this year is Martha Grimes!
